Rosa & Associati focuses on the recruitment and training of up and coming runners. Across the divisions Rosa Management prepares athletes, taking care of all technical, logistic and managerial matters including successfully securing their participation in both national and international events such as the Olympic Games and the World Championships.
Federico Rosa is the manager of the society and overlooks almost 200 athletes of various nationalities (Kenya, Ethiopia, Italy, France, Algeria, Sudan, Serbia, Canada, Bahrain...) as well as representing athletes from other sports.
The organisation features reception and training facilities in Kenya (Eldoret, Kapsait, Kaptagat, Kapsabet) and in Italy (Franciacorta, Alpe di Siusi, Toscana).
Over the last few years the Rosa Team has won prestigious medals during both the Olympic Games and the Athletic World Championships.
At the World Championship in Osaka in 2007 both Janeth Busienei Jepkosgei and Alfred Kirwa Yego took gold medals while the Italian athlete Antonietta Di Martino took silver in the high jump competition.
The Rosa Team’s high standards are also manifest in the great results obtained in the major international marathons. These include Boston, Chicago, London, New York and Berlin where in 2003 a world record of 2h04’55” was set that is the still the third fastest time to date. Rosa & Associati quality is currently represented by: Martin Lel,multi winner of the London and New York marathons, Robert Cheruiyot, first place in a special classification of the 5 most important world marathons (World Marathon Major) thanks to his victories in Boston (2006/2007) and Chicago (2006), and Samuel Wanjiru who in only 2 years has managed to better the half marathon record three times while also winning the Fukuoka marathon on his debut with a time of 2h06’39”.
With regards to track and field events, the jewels in the Rosa Group’s crown are Alex Kipchirchir, world leader of the 1,500m in 2006 and Janeth Busienei, world leader of the 800m in 2006 and 2007m.
