The Elite Hub
Set on the edge of the Kaptagat forest, a short drive from Eldoret, the Training Camp is one of the most iconic facilities of the Rosa Group. Immersed in a natural setting ideal for high-level preparation, it is a centre of excellence that permanently hosts around twenty elite athletes and is equipped with every comfort.
Athletes who choose to train at Kaptagat work under the expert guidance of Nicolas Koech, a former Rosa Associati athlete who oversees daily preparation in an environment that fosters total focus and a true exchange of sporting culture.
The pride of the camp is its physiotherapy centre, inaugurated in 2012 and dedicated to the memory of Olympic champion Samuel Wanjiru. The facility is a benchmark for recovery and injury prevention, combining manual massage with the effectiveness of Wintecare technologies. Beyond directly supporting athletes, the centre also serves as a hub for training a new generation of physiotherapists.
Where Champions Rise
Set at 3,000 metres of altitude, around 400 kilometres from Nairobi, the Kapsait Training Camp is led by coach Erick Kimayo, a long-standing collaborator of Dr. Rosa for more than 25 years and a former Rosa Associati athlete.
Under Kimayo's guidance, Kapsait has become a reference point for elite athletics, with a particular reputation for developing female talent. The camp is the professional home where champion Brigid Kosgei began her path to international success.
Kapsait's impact reaches far beyond running. In an area long marked by conflict between local communities, the camp has helped restore peace by becoming the focal point of a shared interest: athletics. Its presence has driven the development of essential infrastructure, including water wells, new roads and the electrical grid.
The camp's social mission was further strengthened in 2023 thanks to the invaluable support of Gruppo Arcese. This contribution made it possible to add a modern gym for the athletes and, above all, to build a preprimary school — a vital service for the village's youngest children, and a testament to how sport can be a tangible driver of growth for an entire community.
Talent Incubator
Set amid the lush greenery of the Nandi Hills — the famous slopes covered in tea plantations — stands the Kapsabet Training Camp. The centre was born from a shared vision between Dr. Rosa and Stanley Biwott, an internationally renowned champion and winner of the 2015 New York Marathon.
Smaller in scale yet complete in every respect, Kapsabet offers all the services required for elite-level training. The camp features a professional physiotherapy service that pairs advanced Wintecare technologies with manual treatment, ensuring the best possible support for recovery and prevention.
The camp was conceived with a clear purpose: to discover and develop the young talent of the region. In a natural setting ideally suited to physical preparation, the centre offers athletes a structured pathway that combines high-level training with concrete opportunities for growth.
The Future of Women's Athletics
The Londiani Training Camp represents the cutting edge of Rosa Associati's commitment to developing female athletic talent.
It is a constantly expanding centre of excellence, home to forty young athletes (Under 16, 18 and 20 categories) who balance daily training with their studies in the local primary and secondary schools.
It is within these walls that Beatrice Chebet — today a global and Olympic icon over 5,000 and 10,000 metres — took her first steps and developed as an athlete. Her success is the most vivid proof of the quality of work carried out at this camp, which year after year is enhanced with new services and facilities.
More than any other facility, Londiani embodies our vision for the future: a place where sport becomes a tool for empowerment and growth for young women. The continuous expansion of services and the focus on the athletes' all-round development make this camp not only a sporting reference point, but a pillar of Rosa Associati's project for the future of women's athletics.
Young Promises
The Torongo Training Camp is one of the youngest and most promising facilities of the Rosa Group. Located in the heart of Baringo County, it was created as a regional scouting project dedicated to young prospects (Under 18 and Under 20) from local schools.
Despite its recent foundation, Torongo has already proven to be a forge of champions, with our athletes standing out at Under 20 Championships and ranking among the finest performers at the World Cross Country and Track Championships.
We believe sporting success must go hand in hand with everyday well-being. For this reason, the facility has undergone significant renovation, made possible in part by the invaluable contribution of Gruppo Arcese. Through the provision of running water and the renewal of living spaces, we have transformed the Camp into a welcoming environment that supports the studies and growth of young athletes, while driving the social uplift of the entire community.
Kapsait Preprimary School
Built in 2023 with the support of Gruppo Arcese, the preprimary school serves the youngest children of the Kapsait village — proof that sport can be a concrete driver of growth for an entire community.
